  • Season maybe cancelled due to covid

Here in Finland there are loads of restrictions due to covid. We had a month left of our indoor season with finals meant to be at the end of the month. But due to restrictions everything’s been put on hold, in fact the federation has been discussing actually awarding medals according to as the ladder stands now ( we’d be taking gold, but it kinda feels cheap). It super frustrating not being able to play or train.
hopefully everyone’s elses season hasn’t been as buggered as our has. If they end up calling off the season we’ll all be out until April when our outdoor season starts (can’t play until the snow melts).

Ouch, that's a difficult pill to swallow! Here in the UK, despite the major outbreak in cases from the new variant...things are going ahead as planned. Fingers crossed things improve there soon and you're able to finish the indoor season. Would be great to get gold of course, but I agree...winning isn't as sweet if you can't even play a final!

Yeah its bee pretty frustrating being cooped up all the time, and feeling like conditioning is slipping away. we have -15 weather, so working out outside is a bit hard core....We just hope that if they do continue the season that they at least give us time to do some training again before we play again. there was talk that we would need to play in matches with zero training after over a month and a half of zero training, which doesnt seem appealing.

Well if any one was interested, they are continuing our season.... just with absolutely zero training before the next tournament.... pray for us

Here in Aus we are hoping things will go ahead. 2020 saw a start date pushed back to mid season, 2021 saw the end of our seasons cut off a week or two before most associations finals series.

here’s hoping we start 2022 on time in a couple of months!

yeah... we have so many restrictions right now, we just got told that we will have a semi final on the 13.03 and finals on the 26.03.i guess we might get some time to train since lock down here doesnt lift till mid feb...
man....I'm actually one of the few who likes indoor.... but i cant wait for outdoor.... simply because we dont get so pushed by the restrictions. hopefully we dont get any more restrictions after this.
